Thivi
According to myth, Thivi was an daughter of Zeus and Megakleite, a remarkable Amazon unbeaten in running and hunting. The only one who ever managed to defeat her in a running contest was the demigod Hercules, who also fell in love with her and to honour her, founded a city bearing her name, by the Aegean coast south east of ancient Troy. Another version describes Thivi as a water nymph, daughter of the River god Asopos.
